Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular environmental monitoring and inspections at mining sites;

  • Monitor the Company’s compliance with environmental legislation, regulatory requirements, and the conditions of environmental permits;

  • Carry out monitoring activities related to soil, surface and groundwater, air quality, and waste management;

  • Identify environmental risks, detect non-conformities, and propose measures for their mitigation and resolution;

  • Participate in internal and external environmental audits;

  • Monitor reclamation, erosion control, environmental restoration, and environmental protection activities;

  • Record and analyze collected environmental data and prepare relevant reports;

  • Participate in investigations of environmental incidents and, where necessary, in emergency response activities;

  • Analyze topographic maps, engineering drawings, cross-sections, and permit documentation;

  • Support compliance with the Company’s internal procedures and regulations related to environmental protection.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Natural or Applied Sciences, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geology, Hydrometeorology, Agronomy, Forestry, Biology, Occupational Health and Safety, or other related fields;

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in environmental protection, environmental management, environmental monitoring, or a related field;

  • Knowledge of environmental legislation and environmental requirements applicable to the mining industry;

  • Understanding of environmental monitoring, inspections, audits, and compliance processes;

  • Knowledge of erosion control, reclamation, and surface and groundwater protection;

  • Ability to read and interpret topographic maps, engineering plans, and technical documentation;

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills;

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications;

  • Experience with Google Earth, QGIS, and environmental monitoring equipment is considered an advantage;

  • Knowledge of English is an advantage;

  • Preference will be given to internally displaced person (IDP) candidates.

  • Work location: Gedabey and Aghdara, Azerbaijan;

  • Work schedule: Shift-based work schedule;
