Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and monitor the daily production activities of open-pit mining operations in accordance with approved production plans;
  • Coordinate loading, hauling, ore extraction, and waste rock disposal activities and ensure their efficient execution;
  • Participate in the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual production plans, monitor plan execution, and conduct plan-versus-actual analyses;
  • Participate in the preparation of mine designs, drill-and-blast designs, production plans, and other technical documentation, and ensure their proper implementation in operations;
  • Monitor the condition of mine roads, working areas, berms, ramps, slopes, drainage systems, and other operational areas to ensure compliance with design parameters;
  • Prepare and update mine plans and analyze production data using Surpac, Micromine, AutoCAD, and other mining software;
  • Analyze production performance, equipment productivity, and operational data; prepare technical reports and present them to management;
  • Monitor drilling and blasting activities to ensure compliance with the design, evaluate results, and provide recommendations for process improvement;
  • Analyze technical issues arising during production activities and develop measures to resolve them and improve operational efficiency;
  • Coordinate the activities of Junior Mining Engineers and provide them with technical and methodological support;
  • Collaborate with Geology, Surveying, Geotechnical, Processing, Maintenance, and other relevant departments to coordinate grade control processes, selective ore mining, mine surveying activities, and the implementation of geotechnical recommendations.

 

Requirements

  • University degree in Mining Engineering;
  • Work experience is desirable (experience in the mining industry is considered an advantage);
  • Knowledge of open-pit mining planning and operations;
  • Knowledge of drilling and blasting, loading, hauling, ore extraction, and waste rock disposal processes;
  • Ability to prepare and interpret mine plans, designs, technical drawings, and production layouts;
  • Ability to prepare production plans, conduct plan-versus-actual analyses, and evaluate production performance;
  • Knowledge of Surpac, Micromine, AutoCAD, and other mining software;
  • Knowledge of mining equipment operations and equipment productivity assessment;
  • Knowledge of English and Russian is considered an advantage;
  • Preference will be given to candidates with IDP status.
