Job Responsibilities
- Conduct daily mine inspections to monitor slope stability and identify potential geotechnical risks;
- Evaluate the physical and mechanical properties of rock and the geotechnical parameters of groundwater;
- Perform geotechnical and structural logging of drill cores;
- Participate in the collection of rock samples for laboratory and field testing;
- Conduct geotechnical mapping to identify geological and structural characteristics;
- Participate in the field and laboratory tests required to assess rock strength parameters;
- Support the preparation of technical reports, graphs, and other geotechnical documentation based on field and laboratory data;
- Comply with company procedures related to occupational health and safety and environmental protection.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology, Geology, Mining Engineering, or another related field;
- Basic knowledge of Rock Mass Classification;
- Basic knowledge of geotechnical principles and geological data analysis;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a team and in field conditions;
- Work experience in geotechnical, geological, or a related field is desirable;
- Knowledge of English is considered an advantage;
- Preference will be given to candidates with IDP status.
