Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily mine inspections to monitor slope stability and identify potential geotechnical risks;
  • Evaluate the physical and mechanical properties of rock and the geotechnical parameters of groundwater;
  • Perform geotechnical and structural logging of drill cores;
  • Participate in the collection of rock samples for laboratory and field testing;
  • Conduct geotechnical mapping to identify geological and structural characteristics;
  • Participate in the field and laboratory tests required to assess rock strength parameters;
  • Support the preparation of technical reports, graphs, and other geotechnical documentation based on field and laboratory data;
  • Comply with company procedures related to occupational health and safety and environmental protection.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology, Geology, Mining Engineering, or another related field;
  • Basic knowledge of Rock Mass Classification;
  • Basic knowledge of geotechnical principles and geological data analysis;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and in field conditions;
  • Work experience in geotechnical, geological, or a related field is desirable;
  • Knowledge of English is considered an advantage;
  • Preference will be given to candidates with IDP status.
